Porsche 911 GT3 R (992)
The latest in a long line of Porsche 911s built for sports car racing, the 992-spec edition of the Porsche 911 GT3 R follows in the footsteps of the 991-based GT3 R that debuted for the 2019 racing season. It also joins the current model of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, which debuted in 2021, as a racing Porsche based on the 992 generation. In its inaugural IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, five teams-Pfaff Motorsports, MDK Motorsports, Wright Motorsports, AO Racing Team, and Kelly-Moss with Riley-have all brought at least one 992 to the grid across the GTD and GTD Pro divisions.
The 911 GT3 R (992) is powered by a 4.2-liter Porsche flat-six engine, a step up in displacement from the 4.0-liter units in the previous car. Its first IMSA win came at the hands of Pfaff’s GTD Pro squad of Klaus Bachler, Patrick Pilet, and Laurens Vanthoor in the 2023 12 Hours of Sebring, and the duo of Bachler and Pilet backed it up the next month with a third place finish on the streets of Long Beach. Kelly-Moss with Riley took the car’s first GTD podium at Sebring as well with Alec Udell, Julien Andlauer, and David Brule.

Porsche 911 RSR (991)
The first mid-engine Porsche 911 is the RSR and it features a 4.0 liter, normally aspirated engine that produces 510 hp. Purpose built for racing, the car is raced worldwide in the LM-GTE category in series including IMSA, WEC and Le Mans.
The 911 RSR is Porsche through and through. With its aggressive styling cues and familiar silhouette, the flat-6 six engine literally screams at you when you accelerate out of corners. Weighing in at a mere 1,243 kg (2,740 lbs), the RSR is a well-balanced race car with massive brakes for unrivaled stopping power and a newly designed 6-speed sequential gearbox that allows for lightning changes up and down through the gears.
Porsche 963 GTP
After a five-year hiatus from top-level prototype racing, Porsche returned to the discipline in 2023 with the all-new 963 for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTP class. Partnering with Multimatic to construct the chassis, the 963 made its racing debut at the 2023 24 Hours of Daytona with Porsche Penske Motorsport, and more teams have begun to adopt the car around the world as the season has continued. Penske’s Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy gave the car its first win at Long Beach in its third start of the IMSA season.
Powered by Porsche’s 4.6 liter, twin-turbocharged V8, the 9RD engine that powers the 963 makes over 670 horsepower. As with other GTP cars, the car weighs 1,030 kg and features a spec 50kW hybrid system.

Porsche 919 LMP1
The Porsche 919 Hybrid marked Porsche’s return to prototype racing after a successful program with the RS Spyder ended in 2011. The 919 made its debut at the World Endurance Championship (WEC) 6 Hours of Silverstone in 2014 and ultimately finished the season championship in third. In 2015, Porsche would return to its winning ways by earning victory at the 24-Hours of Le Mans and the overall season championship as well. The Porsche 919 would go on to win the Le Mans 24 and the WEC championship in 2016 and 2017 as well.
Over its four year competitive run in WEC, many world class drivers put the car through the paces – Formula 1 driver Mark Webber and several well-known Porsche factory drivers including Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb, Timo Bernhard and Nick Tandy to name a few. With 17 WEC race victories and three season championships, the Porsche 919 is regarded as one of the most successful LMP1 cars.
Porsche Mission R
One of the automotive industry’s premier brands steps into the future with the Porsche Mission R, Porsche’s first all-electric GT racing car and the first-ever electric car to come to iRacing. Designed to match the established Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in terms of performance, the Mission R is a preview of what the future of customer motorsports will look like as the racing industry continues to evolve with the embrace of electrification efforts.
Generating more than 800 kilowatts of power from its dual electric motors, the car accelerates from 0-100 kilometers per hour (0-60 mph) in under 2.5 seconds. Its fast-charging capabilities allow the car to recharge up to 75% of its battery life in just 15 minutes between races. And in perhaps its most relevant innovation of all to the sim racing world, the Mission R’s self-contained, monocoque-type driver cell can be used outside of the car as a simulator—giving drivers an opportunity to test in the virtual world in the same environment they’ll utilize in the real one.
